About the Event
Get ready to lace up your sneakers and join us for the inaugural Race for Robert 5K! Born from the spirited rivalry between lifelong athlete Kevin and our "elevator enthusiast" firefighter Frankie, this event promises fun, fitness, and a dash of friendly competition. Their past challenges have been legendary, from a 200-mile showdown (which ended in a questionable tie) to a marathon that one remembered and the other... well, forgot. Now, they're taking it to the next level, and you're invited to witness (and participate in) the action!
Event Highlights
- The Main Event: A 5K loop kicking off from Henry’s Majestic, winding its way through the scenic Trinity Skyline Trail and Perimeter Road to Trinity Overlook Park. Along the way, you'll take in everything from sweeping skyline views to the industrial charm (read: underbelly) of Sylvan 30. And yes, you’ll even catch a whiff of the not-so-pristine Trinity River—it’s all part of the experience! Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, we promise laughs, sweat, and stories you’ll never admit to out loud.
- Post-Race Festivities: Join us afterward for drinks, food, and light-hearted banter as we celebrate everyone's efforts and, of course, determine who gets bragging rights—Kevin or Frankie.
